課程概述

How to better utilize resources and how to make (or help decision-makers make) better decisions is one of the core capabilities for all students majoring in management. By helping us gain more insights from the decision problems or situations, decision-making modeling helps the decision-makers make well-informed and thus better decisions.  

課程目標
This introduction course is designed to help students acquire the science, art and practical skills of decision making modeling for managerial purposes. Both deterministic modeling and probabilistic modeling are to be covered. Deterministic modeling includes linear programming modeling, network optimization modeling, integer programming modeling, and nonlinear programming modeling. Probabilistic modeling includes decision analysis modeling, data modeling, queueing modeling and simulation modeling.
